Union Rubber was founded in 1919 as a distributor of products that made the way to the oil fields of Bradford, PA. Best-Test White Rubber Paper Cement and it's distinctive logo was introduced in 1923. The Trademark was designed at a kitchen table by a few of the founding fathers.
Best-Test was developed to do one thing well, cement paper to paper. Its early distribution was in the Northeast, especially New York City. As our catalog states, it was the overwhelming choice of the commercial artist, draftsmen, advertising agencies and art teachers.
Our early success can be attributed to the professional artist who learned his trade in various art schools & classes and took that skill to his professional life. Once out of school and into a working environment, the new professional demanded the little red can (Best-Test) as one of his tools of the trade and accepted no other.
Today, Best-Test is still the paper cement of choice of the professional artist.
The crafters and hobbyist are now realizing the full potential of the little red can. If you are a serious crafter, your supplies should include Best-Test. |
